We can’t believe we are nearing the end to our 2020-2021 school year. Volunteering was very different this year but one thing remains... we have the very best volunteers! Each event this year has been a success and that’s all because of YOU!!
We are excited to announce that volunteers are able to return as normal to campus for events, activities and meetings for the 2021-22 school year! We cannot wait to see your faces! To those who are new... we look forward to meeting everyone and have you join our volunteer community! There is a place for you as a CtRCS Crusader Volunteer!

Upcoming Volunteer Events
We are excited to have our summer break and we hope this is a safe and enjoyable summer for you all. We will send out updates or signups through our volunteer Flocknote group. If you know of someone who would like to be added and keep up with our volunteer updates, please have them opt in on Flocknote or send us a message and we will manually add them. We will have a used uniform sale, school supplies distribution and possible other volunteer events that we will keep you updated about over the summer.
What a successful year this has been for our many activities for our kids and teachers all while volunteers and parents helped remotely!
Here are some of our January to current events volunteers have made possible.
In February we had a fun winter treat for the kiddos, the students received an extra hot chocolate and Hershey kiss treat from our volunteers.
Souper Bowl Luncheon
Keeping up with our traditional CARE "Souper Bowl" luncheon... staff and teachers were served a variety of salads, soups, and more! Thank you to all of our volunteers who donated soups, breads, utensils AND helped set up!

C.A.R.E. Candy Gram
assembly and distribution
This event was split up into a couple of different days. Volunteers sorted, labeled, assembled and then distributed over 1500 candy bouquets and lolipops! This is a major fundraiser for our volunteer community that allows us to treat our staff and teachers throughout the year. Thank you for the parents donating and for the volunteers who helped!
Steps for Students
What a fun time this was for all the kids, teachers, staff and volunteers! God gave us beautiful weather to enjoy this yearly fundraiser to raise money for our diocese which also benefits us directly at CtRCS.

We love welcoming new families to our home here at CtRCS. We want to thank all of the volunteers and
who show up with smiling faces to show our perspective families our beautiful school.
Monthly CARE Gifts and Special Testing goodies are ways our fundraising and donations treats our staff throughout the year. CARE volunteers provide a special something on staff and teacher in-service days and special testing days. Teachers appreciate these extra treats and it really brings smiles and brightens up their days!

Kinder Round Up
Kinder Round Up is such a special event to welcome our incoming kindergarteners to
Parents and future kinders were greeted by volunteers, staff and our mascot Cruz was there! Volunteers set up and took down the event, donated AMAZING cookies and mingled with families.
We appreciate all volunteers who were able to create a memorable event!
Volunteer Appreciation Social
What a great time volunteers and staff had celebrating our volunteers! We met at Little Woodrow’s in Tomball. It was a fun evening of special words, volunteer mingling and the Astros game on the big screen. We missed all our friends who were unable to make it. We look forward to seeing you all at our next volunteer social.
8th Grade Graduation
Our Middle School Committee created a beautiful evening for our 8th grade graduation class. It took a team of volunteers decorating, setting up, serving and much more. This was a very special evening for our students. This is an important way that our volunteers work together to create memorable events.
Future 7th grade parents get ready to continue the 8th grade graduation decoration tradition. Great way to create a special event for our graduating class!

Thank you to a team of volunteers that came in and decorated the RAC and auditorium for our kinder graduation! We are grateful to everyone who spent a lot of time blowing up balloons, setting up and making everything look so beautiful! Future 1st grade parents get ready, next year we need our 1st grade parents to continue the tradition of setting up for kinder graduation.

Crusader Volunteer Committees

This committee works with the many events including monthly treat deliveries for staff and teacher in-service days, stocking the staff break area, Sams runs monthly and organizing fundraisers throughout the year.

Volunteers can help with many things on their own time, some events are on campus only, there are a variety of things our volunteers can help with!

Our CtRCS Outreach Committee is one of our special committees that reaches out to our families in times of need. This committee creates meal trains for families who have a specific need (surgeries, injuries or special situations). Prayer blankets that have been made by our sweet kindergarteners are blessed and given to our kiddos who have lost a loved one or have a special need. Rosaries and wooden crosses are also given at times for a little extra tlc. “Future Crusader” onesies are given when we have a new birth in our CtRCS community. We are thankful to

Used Uniform and Spirit Wear Committee
Kinsey Solleder has worked with Used Uniform and Spirit Wear Committe for many years now. Kinsey and Jennifer Haynes work together to organize, sort and run some amazing used uniform sales. Used uniform sales offer parents a less expensive uniform cost and raises money for our school.
Used uniforms are announced twice a year in the Crusader Chronicle, volunteer flocknotes, CtR webpage and our FB Parent page.
Kinsey and Katie Griep work together on spirit sales and organizing, sorting each bulk purchase and distibuting to students.
We would like to have a few volunteers that could help with spirit bulk orders and sorting and uniform sales.

is one of a team of volunteers that come in once a week and take care of the schools laminating needs!

We are looking for a team of volunteers that can take shifts to come in once a week and laminate for our teachers and students. We send out a monthly signup genius so you can choose a morning or afternoon shift each week. Scheduling is flexible so we can work around your schedule. Laminating, sorting monthly birthday pencils and light copying are a few ways you can help.

Bulletin Board Committee
We are thankful to have
as our Bulletin Board Committee head this year. Liz will return next year and we are excited to have
on board! Liz and Kristi will create new themed bulletin boards as we get ready to start our new year. Depending on the school year, there could be a request for a bulletin board change throughout the year. This committee works with staff to help create a fun and inviting environment. We thank Liz for your hard work and we look forward to having Liz and Kristi working as a team!
Homeroom Parent Committee
While this year was a little different for our homeroom parents, we are thankful for all your efforts to help and work around many obstacles. As mentioned in the Crusader Chronicle, we are so excited to be an opened campus and have our volunteers back on campus!
was our Homeroom Parent Coordinator and we are looking forward to having her in the same role next year. Valerie coordinates with staff and homeroom parents to work together on teacher bios, class parties, Christmas parties, teacher birthdays and more. Correspondence will go out at the beginning of the school year giving information on becoming a homeroom parent.
Box Top Committee
This year our Box Top committee was lead by
. While the paper form of box tops has moved over to electronic scanning of receipts there are some organizing and planning. We know sometimes it is hard to switch over to a new way of doing things... but the new digital scan of receipts is super easy and quick! Amanda and Katie Griep are working together to create some fun incentives for next year! Use till want your scanned box tops over the summer! Every donation adds up and benefits our school! Middle School Committee
for her continued support this year with our Middle School committee. Laura’s kiddo will graduate this next year so we need to have volunteers shadow her during the 2021-22 school year in hopes to have the roles filled for the next year. Our Middle School events will return in full next year and we’re so excited! Dances, graduations, dinners are just a few of our Middle School events. Our Hospitality Committee is responsible for providing snacks, meals, set up and take down at special event. Hospitality takes care of refreshments, treats and meals
at events such as Open Houses, dances, graduations, and many other special events.

Volunteer Spirit Wear
We ask for volunteers to wear a spirit shirt and appropriate bottoms when on campus for casual events or volunteering. We want to represent CtRCS whenever we are on campus. If you do not have a spirit shirt please contact anyone of us below and we will be able to get you one.

to volunteer on school campus. Volunteers must also have a current signed
Volunteer Code of Conduct
on file. We will send out an updated Volunteer Code of Conduct and have it sent to our volunteers before August. Please check your CMG training (or VIRTUS expiration date,) as everyone must be current before volunteering on campus.
