June 10, 2021- Crusader Chronicle
June 10, 2021
Dear CtRCS Families,
Well we did it! We not only made it through a very different kind of year, we did it with grace, success, cooperation and most of all, Crusader Strength. We thank all of our families, faculty and staff, board members and the many benefactors of our school for making this year what it was - Inspirational for all.
We would like to say a warm goodbye to those who won't be returning to CtRCS next year. We wish you all the best in your journey ahead. We are truly blessed that you have entrusted your children to our care, and you will always be a part of our family.
To all families, may you have a safe, fun, and faith-filled summer. For our returning families, we cannot wait to see you back for the 2021-2022 school year. While this is our last official Chronicle for the school year, we will send out four Summer Chronicles on the following dates:
• Thursday, July 1st
• Thursday, July 29th
• Thursday, Aug. 12th
• Thursday, Aug. 19th
Finally, we invite you to attend our end of year Mass and 1st-7th grade award ceremony (immediately following Mass in the church). While you are welcome to attend in person, you can also view both Mass and the award ceremony via live stream. See the information below on how to access these live streams.
If you do attend in person, please know that we will have regular dismissal at 11:50 and 12:00 via carline. Students will return to their classrooms after the award ceremony, as no child may be checked out from the Church. Thank you for your attention to this.
Again, enjoy a well-deserved summer break and we will see you in August!

8th Grade Final Walk and Graduation
On Tuesday, 16 Crusaders walked the halls of CtRCS for the last time as students. Our Final walk has become a beloved tradition for our eighth-grade students and perfectly transition our focus to Graduation.
We celebrated our eighth graders Tuesday evening with a Baccalaureate Mass and Graduation Ceremony. We are so proud of all that these young men and women have accomplished and can't wait to see what their futures holds!
This morning we honored the accomplishments of our kindergarten students as they proudly graduated and OFFICIALLY became first graders.
4th Grade Texas Play
On Monday, our fourth graders taught us a thing or two about Texas history, through the annual Texas Play. Our young performers did a great job and made learning about our great state so much fun! A special thank you to Mrs. Soliman, Mrs. Bowring, Ms. Addis, and Mr.Croes for all of their hard work to make this event possible.

Helping Kids Stay Safe in a Dangerous World
Even though the pandemic has been constantly on our minds for the past year, there are still many other risks in the world that we need to keep in mind and help our kids avoid. Many of us lament the “good old days” when our kids were free to roam the neighborhood and play with their friends unsupervised by adults. In this day and age, parents are wise to keep a much closer eye on their kids.
How can we do this at the same time as helping our kids understand that nobody can ensure their safety if they habitually place themselves at risk? Here are some tips for striking a balance:
