SCHOLASTIC BOOK FAIR RETURNS
Spring 2021 Scholastic Book Fair: May 3-6
In-Person Book Fair at CtRCS: Monday, May 3 - Thursday, May 6
Online Book Fair: Thursday, April 29 - Friday, May 7
Payment
- No cash or checks will be accepted. Students will be required to utilize Scholastic's digital E-Wallet.
- Parents, you must pre-load money by clicking here.
- You will then print a receipt of the E-Wallet, and your student will bring it to school and present it to their teacher as their "admission ticket" to the book fair. Students will then be allowed to shop during their normal library class time.
- Your homeroom teacher will have their library class time listed in the grade level flocknote. This shopping schedule will be followed very closely so please send the E-Wallet admission ticket to school by Monday, May 3.
Only students with an E-Wallet account will be allowed to shop at the book fair. If your student brings cash for shopping, they will not be allowed to shop at the book fair.
***IMPORTANT NOTE: All purchases will include sales tax. Please include additional funds to cover sales tax for your child's purchases. A safe estimate, depending on the amount on your digital E-Wallet, will be $7-$10.
VCC Families and those who do not wish to use the E-Wallet
can shop online here. The online store is open April 29-May 7.
Shopping
- Only students with an E-Wallet account can shop at the in-person book fair May 3-6.
- Only small groups of students will be sent to the library during their normal library class time to shop, and cohorts will not mix. The library will be cleaned in-between visits, and students will wash their hands prior to entering the library.
- A Scholastic book flyer should come home no later than Friday, April 30th with your student. This advertises what should be available for purchase. I cannot control the amount of inventory that Scholastic sends, so please use the flyer as a guide only. The flyer can also be accessed on our book fair homepage.
Visitors
- Parents or visitors cannot attend the book fair this year, and there will be no after-school shopping hours. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, but safety is our top priority as we finish the school year.
Teacher Wish Lists
- We cannot offer traditional teacher wish lists as we did in the past, mainly because parents and visitors are not allowed to visit the book fair this year. Teachers may choose to create their own E-Wallet link and send it via their weekly Flocknote for parents wishing to contribute a book to their classroom library.
Thank you for your support of the CtRCS Library and we appreciate your patience with our Covid Book Fair rules. Should you have any questions, please reach out to Mrs. Magill at
