Crusader Chronicle - July 29, 2021
July 29, 2021
Dear CtRCS Families,
As we look forward to a return to more normalcy this year, I realize the latest news around Covid-19 and the Delta variant has us wondering about the upcoming school year. We are working closely with the diocese to update our protocols, and balance a return to full on-campus learning with prudent decisions surrounding the safety of our entire community. Please take a look at the most up-to-date protocols from the Catholic Schools Office (CSO) on our website -
There will be additional updates including a list of FAQ's in the next Chronicle, but there are some things we already know, which were communicated toward the end of last year. Masks will be highly encouraged, particularly for those who are unvaccinated, but are optional for all students, staff, and visitors. We will return to transitions between classes for all enrichments, departmentalized grades, and middle school. Students will be eating in the PH. Cohorts may mix at recess and during PE.
In the 2021-2022 school year, CtRCS, together with the Archdiocesan Catholic Schools Office, will continue to review these COVID-19 protocols and monitor the presence of COVID-19 in the community, the counties’ vaccination rates, and the guidance from public health officials so that we can help mitigate the spread of the virus. We will update these protocols, if needed, based on the most up to date information as we strive to provide safe and healthy learning environments for our students and keep our schools open with face-to-face instruction in the 2021-2022 school year.

Who Will My Child's Teacher Be?
Here at CtRCS, we like to welcome your children personally to their new classroom communities. Right before we return to school, your child's teacher will call to welcome them to his or her classroom.
You can expect these phone calls to come prior to Meet the Teacher on Aug. 24
Meet the Teacher - Aug. 24, 2021
Save the Date! CtRCS will be hosting their annual Meet the Teacher event and Popsicle Party at
10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, August 24.
This is the perfect opportunity to see your classmates, find your desk and bring in some of those extra items you'll need throughout the school year, including all those pesky Back to School Forms. After you've met your teachers, stick around for a Popsicle Party!
To make sure you are ready for Meet the Teacher, here's a handy
of items to bring with you. Remember, teachers will make phone calls prior to the 24th to let each child know who their homeroom teacher is and to introduce themselves. Make sure to answer those phones! If for some reason, you have not received your phone call from your child's teacher by Aug. 24, there will be staff members to help all students find their teacher. We can't wait to see you, Crusaders!

Hello, Crusader Parents!
Summer is flying by and I wanted to offer a few reminders prior to starting school. If your child has received any immunizations over the summer please send a copy my way and I will add it to their records. If you were contacted last Spring to update your child’s vaccination record, please take the time this summer to do so. If you have questions about immunizations, feel free to contact me.
Does your child have a medical need that will require management while at school?!! Is so, please have your child’s physician fill out the appropriate healthcare form (asthma, allergy, etc…) and obtain any medications that will be needed for the upcoming school year.
I will be on campus to collect medications and discuss any health care needs on Aug. 18, 19, 20 and 24.
Please email me at firstname.lastname@example.org to set up a time you can stop by so that I am able to plan accordingly.
